We draw the map by towns and counties, not by a circle on a map. Conway sits at the center as the Faulkner County seat, with about 72,328 residents in the Census 2025 estimate, while the county as a whole was estimated at 133,979. From there, coverage follows I-40, US 65 and US 64 out to the towns below.
Permit offices change from town to town, which matters more than the miles. Each listing names the office to ask, because a roofer working in Greenbrier deals with a different city hall than one working in Maumelle.

The Town List
- Conway, AR. The hub city, with subdivisions from its fast growth and older homes near downtown. Ask your roofer about a City of Conway permit before work starts; Building Permits & Inspections answers at (501) 450-6107.
- Greenbrier, AR. About 10 miles north on US 65 in Faulkner County, named for the greenbrier vine along Greenbrier Creek. About 6,645 people live there. For permit questions, call City Hall at 501-679-2422.
- Vilonia, AR. About 12 miles east on US 64, first spelled "Vilsonia" before the post office's version stuck. Tornadoes struck the town in 2011 and 2014, and many homes were rebuilt. The City Clerk's Office handles permits: 501-796-2534.
- Mayflower, AR. About 10 miles south on I-40, near Lake Conway, and named for a railroad telegraph call sign in 1871. The 2014 EF4 tracked through here. Ask the permits and inspections office at 501-470-1337 ext. 6.
- Maumelle, AR. About 20 miles southeast in Pulaski County, a planned city incorporated on June 20, 1985, where 76.4% of homes are owner-occupied. Roofs appear on the city's permit list, so have your roofer pull that permit. Planning & Permits: 501-851-2784 ext. 229.
- Morrilton, AR. About 20 miles west on I-40, the seat of Conway County since 1883, with about 7,195 residents. Conway County is a different county from the city of Conway. The Planning Department takes questions at 501-354-8020.
Close but Not Listed?
Plenty of Faulkner County homes sit outside any city limits, on rural roads between the towns above. Send your request anyway. If a roofer serves your road, we'll pass it along; if not, we'll tell you so rather than send you to someone who works an hour away. We didn't find a county permit office for unincorporated areas, so ask your roofer what applies at your address.
Wherever you live, the same habits protect you. Look the roofer up on the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board's online lookup, ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' comp, and get the contract in writing. If your neighborhood has an active HOA, clear the color and material before the old roof comes off.
